That’s right, Team Fortress Hacks are now available to download.
I know this will likely be a controversial topic, but allow me to address a few of the questions/issues/statements I have already recieved from friends when I mentioned the idea of having a Hacks section.
First off, why have a hacks section to begin with?
People are going to cheat whether we have it or not. If you want a wall hack bad enough; you are going to find it. Before TF2 even released (when it was still in the beta phase for Steam buyers) there were already plenty of hacks on Torrent sites. But when you download from a torrent site you don’t know what you are getting. You could be getting a virus, trojan, keylogger, spyware, or even the dreaded gay porn. So I decided that since people are going to get them anyways; whether I am here or not, I may as well provide the hacks safely, after scanning them with NOD32/AVG and a few other programs, and hosting them on my own webserver. That way if you are going to cheat you can at least download them without possibly breaking your computer.
Aren’t you encouraging hacking and cheating by providing them though?
Not any more than I am encouraging players to read paragraphs about how to play the game instead of actually playing the game and learning themselves. I’m just putting this data out there; people will do with it what they want. But in the journalistic, librarian stance; I may as well put everything out there instead of censoring some things or ignoring the pink elephant in the room, right?
Have you tried the hacks? Do they work?
I have never tried any hacks for any version of Team Fortress; whether it was for Quake, Half Life or Team Fortress 2. I honestly don’t think you need to cheat in Team Fortress; I think the game is friendly for all experience levels. You will rarely, if ever see a more experienced player chastising a “n00b” for not performing well enough. In fact, I don’t think I have seen that in TF2 yet. People may jab you for not knowing something, but it is usually in a joking manner. Unlike in other games, Team Fortress is very friendly to everyone. I remember in Quake 2; if you weren’t the top 3 in the scoreboard, you were going to be raped with insults. It motivated you to be better, as well. But to stay on topic no; I haven’t tried any of them. I like playing on Steam.
Will these get me banned from Steam?
Supposedly. One of them is labeled VAC-Proof but I would take that with a grain of salt. They could say they will pay me $100 if I get banned from Steam for using it; I still wouldn’t do it. TF just isn’t that hard. Read the strategies, learn the classes, and you’ll be fine. An aim bot isn’t going to solve your problems.

Now that all of that has been addressed, hopefully everyone understands where I am coming from. Maybe some of them will be fun to run on your own server; or for some youtube videos. Who knows? But they are here if you want them.
Until next time…
